Herbie's Got Talent
HERBIE’S GOT TALENT
by Adam
Hello, it’s just past 11pm on a muggy Sunday night, and as Alfred Hitchcock would say at the start of his television shows, “good evening”. In fact it’s quite appropriate to start with a quote from the Master of Suspense, as I’d like to write about a bloody great shock I got last week when I turned on my television.
You're My Best Friend - Meeting Brian May

How the hell did we get here so quickly? It’s the start of 2010, bloody freezing in my studio, and it seems like barely this morning that I was last writing. Well, where do I start with apologies? Having said that, this time last year, I would endeavour to write more blogs, look what goes and happens. Not a dickie bird for a full 12 months. Of course I blame the economy, and my temperamental interface mate Mac, but the truth is that time is just slipping through my boney cold fingers like so much melted snow.

Each year the festival has got better and better for my band, The Mustangs, and word seems to be spreading that Jak’s stage – the smallest of the three venues there – is the place to be when we are on. Tonight is extra special as we are launching our new album, Cut Loose, and will be playing a set made up entirely of our own songs.
