Pow Wow artwork and details revealed!

We can exclusively reveal the artwork for Pow Wow, the new abum from Adam & the King Bee (that's Adam and Derek to you and me!).

 

 

The all original 11-track album will be released by Trapeze Music in march, and will be available from all major online retailers. The track listing reads:

The Mustangs

2012 Looks set to be a bumper year for the Mustangs and their fans. With a number of great gigs already planned, there are also a number of new releases being scheduled via the band's new label Trapeze.

Amongst the shows to look out for in 2012 are festival gigs such as Broadstairs, Linton, Bentworth, Diss in Norfolk, Blues in Town and, of course Swanage. More look set to be confirmed as the year progresses.

Mustangs Sign To New Label

Trapeze Music & Entertainment Ltd. has signed The Mustangs, the highly successful and popular London-based blues/rock band, for a 3 year term.  Under the new arrangement, the label will release the band’s brand-new CD “Shaman & The Monkey” as well as taking over the sales, marketing and distribution of the band’s existing catalogue of five CDs.

The Mustangs' sixth album, Shaman & the Monkey, will be released worldwide on November 15th

The all original 13 track album will be released on the band's new label, Trapeze, and will be available from all good retailers including Amazon & iTunes, as well as from the ban's own website Shop page.

Q: How did the name Shaman & The Monkey come about?

Poetic Tribute Written to the Mustangs

Greg Rowe, who has taken the photos for the Mustangs' new album, saw the band at the Swanage Blues Festival in March 2011, and afterwards felt compelled to write a poem about the Festival and the band. 

"I don't know what came over me", said Greg, "I've never written anything like it in my life". 

Written in the style of legendary English gobbledygook raconteur Stanley Unwin, with an extra hint of Edward Lear,  you can read Greg's impressive ode here. 

BAND CONFIRMED FOR NEWARK, SWANAGE & ISLE OF WIGHT FESTIVALS

 The Mustangs still have a handful of major blues festivals to play before the end of the Summer. 

Last year the band closed the Newark Festival to great acclaim, and will be heading back there on Sunday September 11th. 

Moving into October the band will play the White Horse on Friday 7th, and this year the band promises something a bit different!

Title & Tracklisting Revealed for New Album!

The title of the new Mustangs album is....

SHAMAN & THE MONKEY

The title is in direct reference to two of Derek's songs on the record, Monkey on Your Back, and The Chancer (in which a Shaman character features). 

The tracklisting has also been revealed. The 13 track album will be released in July 2011 on the Cross Border label and will be available from Amazon, iTunes and all good online retailers.
