Nothing Stays The Same
Rock 'n' Reel Review - July 2008
The Band’s fourth album finds them live in the studio, keeping the balance between blues and rock, maintaining a high energy level and with some intelligent song writing in evidence on thirteen original songs, with singer, guitarist, keyboard player and bandleader Adam Norsworthy writing or co-composing a dozen of them.
Blues Matters Review - June 2008
I missed these guys at a Blues event about a year ago, thinking that they were just another run of the mill pub Blues band. Well, if it was the same band, I made a big mistake! This is the band’s second album for the BM! Label, and their fourth overall, and all thirteen rocking blues numbers are self-penned, performed with skill, flair and a true feeling for the music they so clearly love. This certainly isn’t the same old twelve-bar blues; interesting arrangements, Derek Kingaby interspersed harp work, and a good vocal mixture, certainly offer something different.
Record Collector Review - May 2008
The Mustangs have been making waves down on the South Coast circuit since 2001 with an eclectic mix of passionate blues-rock and contemporary songwriting appealing equally to biker festival crowds and discerning musos.
Kicking off with the slick minor-key groove of Put Your Money On Me, their fourth studio outing showcases another impressive batch of riff-based rockers and cleverly crafted ballads that put The Band head and shoulders above the pub-rock pack.
