For their fifth album the band decided to go back to basics and recorded Cut Loose live in just two days, deep in the Hampshire countryside. The result is an album brimming with vitality, energy and creativity. Almost two years of solid gigging all over the UK since the last album made the band sound tighter and edgier than ever before, and songs like "Canada Eyes" and "Thunder in The Air" explode out of the speakers.

But there is a new found swing and swagger in the music and live favourites like "Honey Rock" and "She Wants More" find the Mustangs grooving better than ever. But once again, the band brings a range of styles together to make a record unique on the British Blues Scene. Blues fans will love the 12 Bar stylings of "I'll Meet You Anytime", and sing-along classic "No Good For The Soul", but harder blues rock fans will once again find plenty to enjoy.

But The Mustang's unique depths are clear when they showcase their ability to tackle sensitive folky ballads such as the beautiful "Precious Time" and the wistful "Dream The Day Away".
