Tubby's Blues Club, Bishop's Cleeve - January 2008
Blues Matters Magazine - Merv Osborne
"The Mustangs were fortunate to get to the gig following drummer Jon Bartley's attempt at ditch surfing with his vehicle - a local tractor rescued the day... and their performance lived up to expectations. Adam's voice is a true powerhouse and as frontman, he truly commands - his guitar work ain't half bad either. They mixed classic Blues with a good sprinkling of their own material, much of it from their new album, Nothing Stays The Same. 'Look The Other Way' impressed as a hard-hitting Blues number, whilst their version of Muddy's 'Hoochie Coochie Man' was sublime. They even dedicated 'In Two Minds' to BluesMatters! founder Alan Pearce, wishing him a speedy recovery. The Mustangs rocked Tubby's till just past midnight. A good night was had by all, and this gem of a Blues club, operating on the first Friday of every month, deserves more support.
