Blues Matters Records (2006)

Released in March 2006, Split Decision is The Band's first album for BluesMatters, the UK's largest dedicated blues record label. The Band's third album of all original material, Split Decision once again showcases The Band's ability to mix a variety of blues styles within 12 songs yet also retain a sound and style that is all their own.

Songs such as The Eyes Don't Lie, Put The Lights Back On and Can't Find A Lover show The Band flexing their muscles with an edgier, rawer live sound - indeed almost all of the 12 songs are now live staples of The Band's set. With production duties once again handled in-house by Adam, the bigger, rockier sound is the result of recording The Band live at The Green, Hampshire.

All four band members claim writing credits, but the CD sees Ben and Derek reach new heights with tracks such as Over Too Soon and Blue Dawn Rising respectively. Influences such as Led Zeppelin, The Who, and early Fleetwood Mac are all in evidence on what is regarded by many as The Band's finest album to date. An essential purchase for anyone who likes their blues with a heavy dose of rock thrown in for good measure.
